Alterations: What to expect
Congratualtions on choosing your gown! We would like to offer you the services of our expert seamstress who's vast knowledge and experience in gown construction and alterations is exceptional.
We suggest that the alterations process for wedding gowns start at least 4-6 weeks before the wedding date. For mother's or bridesmaids, it may be less. Just remember, sooner than later!
Remember to bring shoes and any undergarments you might be wearing. If you do not have these items, we do carry different styles of each item.
1st Fitting: This fitting is to see the gown on you and see where it needs to be adjusted. The bodice is always done first before anything can be done to the hem or bustle.
2nd Fitting: Adjust anything from the first fitting and move onto the hem and bustle.
Final Fit: Any adjustments to the overall feel of your gown are made. Please be sure to invite someone that will be there on your wedding tday, so that we may "teach" them how to bustle your gown.
An appointment will be made to steam and press your gown in addition to scheduling the day and time to pick up your gown.
The seamstress is paid in full at the final fitting and she accepts cash and checks only.
For a small fee, we will be happy to personally deliver your gown to insure your gown is picture perfect. This service is for local venue's only and must be scheduled prior to your wedding day.
