At Formalities Bridal, we believe in a stress-free, happy environment to select your wedding gown.  Come ready to find the perfect gown because, most often you will!! 

Appointments are appreciated, especially on Tuesday evenings and Saturdays.  This allows us quality time with each bride. One and one-half hours will be scheduled for a first time bride and for a second visit, one-half hour will be scheduled.   

 These are suggestions when coming to your bridal appointment:

• Bring comfortable shoes with the approximate heel height that you plan to wear on your wedding day. Your feet do get tired standing especially if you are not in your own shoes. 
• Bring your camera!  Take pictures of you and your guests.  This is a happy time and should be remembered.
•  We have bras and crinolines, but we do ask that you wear the minimal amount of make-up that day.  We strive to keep our samples in pristine condition.
• Leave small children at home.  A bridal shop is not a place for babies and small children because they get cranky at the worse times and do not have the patience to sit still for long periods of time.  They can also be distracting to you and other brides.  The attention needs to be focused on you for a few short hours as you select your perfect gown.
• Allow 1.5 hours for your appointment and please be on time.    

Perks of purchasing Your Wedding Gown With Us

Formalities will keep your gown for up to 6 weeks before your wedding at no charge to you. This is when alterations should start with our expert seamstress. 

Bridal Alterations are a separate cost, so be sure to plan this into your budget.  The week before your wedding, we will steam your gown at no additional charge and put it into a custom bridal bag.  An appointment will be made to pick up your gown 1-2 days before your wedding. 

Day-Of-Wedding Services

Formalities is happy to help the bride and all members of the wedding party on the day of the event for last minute steaming, dressing or unforeseen emergencies.  There is a 6-hour minimum charge and the bride will receive a free Bridal Emergency Kit when purchasing Day-Of Services.
